U.S. ARMY Lo storico Castello di Miramare ha ospitato il Quartier Generale del Contingente dell'Esercito degli Stati Uniti di Trieste dal 16 settembre 1947 al 24 ottobre 1954. Essi hanno reso sicuri i confini, ristabilito la libertà e la democrazia preservato la pace operando per il ritorno di Trieste all'Italia. Questa lapide è dedicata a tutti i soldati americani dei "blue devils".
